Pathsum is the company behind PathLAB Studio, the forthcoming workspace for creating, running, inspecting and improving automations. Pathsum also builds custom apps and automations as a separate service. You can discuss a custom project now; all PATHSUM software is still pre-release.
Can I download or use any PATHSUM software now?
Not yet. All PATHSUM software is pre-release, including the runtime, CLI, verifier and PathLAB Studio. Studio is expected around January 2027; release timing is an estimate. The links on this page open the workspace overview or an email enquiry—not a checkout, preorder or software download.
Which operating systems will Studio support at launch?
PathLAB Studio is planned to launch on Linux, Windows and macOS. All versions are still pre-release and are not yet available to download or use.
How long does the introductory price last?
The $199 USD campaign runs from September 7, 2026 through March 6, 2027, including the pre-release period. The regular price is $249 USD from March 7, 2027.
What happens after the 30-day trial?
Full Studio access becomes paid, including guided visual authoring and the interactive workbench. Python and CLI authoring and execution continue for free. Existing drafts remain recoverable, and PathPROOF records stay viewable, exportable and independently verifiable. The trial starts when you first activate Studio after release, not when you visit this website.
Does the Studio price include AI model usage?
No. The Studio licence covers the software. Model API usage, hosting, storage and external compute are separate costs paid to the providers you choose. The planned workspace also supports compatible local models.
What does local-first mean for models and data?
Studio is designed to connect directly to compatible local models or to the model and tool APIs you choose, using your own accounts or API keys. Pathsum does not operate backend servers for Studio. If you choose an external API, the data included in that request goes to that provider; local-first does not mean every workflow stays offline. This describes the planned pre-release product.
What is a human gate?
A human gate is a planned approval checkpoint in a workflow: a designated action pauses for a person to decide whether it may proceed. Human-gate decisions remain connected to the run record. This describes the pre-release design, not a publicly available product.
Do I have to renew every year?
No. Your purchase includes 12 months of updates. An optional $99 USD renewal adds another update period; it is not required to keep using your purchased version. Continued use does not guarantee that an older version will remain compatible with every changing external provider.
Can I use Studio for paid work?
Yes. Ordinary commercial use is included, including building workflows for clients. Contact PATHSUM about redistributing, embedding or white-labelling Studio itself.
Do the free workflows have weaker controls?
No. The paid boundary is the Studio workbench, not the runtime controls or ownership of your evidence. Python and CLI workflows retain their declared controls after the trial.
Is enterprise licensing a consulting package?
No. It is licensing for the software. Custom workflow-systems work is a separate service and is not required to use PATHSUM.
