Hello, I'm John, the founder of Pathsum. In an era where AI holds immense promise, many of us have faced the reality that these capabilities are not always predictable. For some, this unpredictability has led to cautious hesitation or outright disappointment in applying AI to critical tasks. At Pathsum, we recognize both the potential and the challenges, aiming to create automation solutions that bridge this gap with greater reliability where it truly matters.
At Pathsum, we strive to make automation deterministic where possible. If a task outcome can be precisely defined, it should be executed through traditional programming rather than leaving it to the unpredictability of an AI model. While AI can be incredibly useful when applied thoughtfully, understanding its limitations and applying the best-known safeguards increase the likelihood of a successful outcome.
Rather than eliminating uncertainty, we focus on informed automation. We assess each automation's risks, consider model capabilities, weigh safeguards' effects, and decide what can be reliably automated within acceptable risk thresholds. On a more personal note, my journey with automation began with a simple story. A friend of mine was managing a team of 35 colleagues using pen and paper. Watching the strain of this manual task inspired me to automate it, reflecting my passion for intuitive and practical solutions. Pathsum was born from this desire to address real-world challenges using technology, blending progress with a rewarding journey of intellectual fulfillment.
